Employee's Mission Trip to Jamaica | Aqueduct Technologies

Aqueduct Technologies is proud to offer its employees a community volunteer day to help support organizations that are personally meaningful to them. Recently, Marie SaoBento, Senior Project Manager at Aqueduct, participated in a mission trip to Blessed Assurance Apostolate in Adelphi, Jamaica for a week to help support children and adults with a range of developmental and physical disabilities.

Mustard Seed Communities, based in Medfield, MA, is an international nonprofit dedicated to caring for the most vulnerable populations in society. Today, this organization cares for over 600 disabled children and adults who have been abandoned in countries that don’t have the means to care for them, such as Jamaica, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. In addition to caring for persons with disabilities, MSC also cares for young mothers and children affected by HIV/AIDS, provides education, and sustains local agriculture.

Marie discovered and became passionate about the charity through her children who were positively impacted during a high school mission trip. Currently, she has been a leader for seven years and has run the mission trip for the past two years, personally taking part in shaping the lives of 126 youths. Marie has influenced many lives and will continue to do so by being an active volunteer and leader for the Children of Mustard Seeds.
